Announcement on Thai visa application for residents of Bulgaria

 

          From 29 May 2021, residents of Bulgaria who wish to apply for Thai visa shall proceed as follows:

  1. Verification of documents
    - All applicants shall send copies of required documents and completed

application forms to the Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest by email: [email protected]

  • When the documents are complete and verified, the Embassy will notify

applicants by email to arrange an appointment for documents submission.

  1. Documents submission

2.1 Submit in person at the Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest (12 Vasile Conta Street, Sector 2, Bucharest, Romania):
      - Applicants shall come to the Embassy with their passports and documents by appointment only. Applicants who come without an appointment or incomplete documents will be rejected and they have to make a new appointment. Visa fees are paid in cash in EUR at the Embassy.

2.2 Submit at the Thai Honorary Consulate, Sofia (Sofia 1000, Parchevich 42):
      - Applicants can submit their documents and passports at the Honorary Consulate on Tuesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 14.00 hrs. Applicants’ passports and documents will be sent to the Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest by courier. Courier fees will be paid in cash in BGN and visa fees will be paid in cash in EUR at the Honorary Consulate.
      - The Honorary Consulate will notify applicants when their passports are returned to arrange for passport collection.
Please kindly note that this process may take up to 15 days, therefore, it is recommended to start the visa application process at least 30 days before departure date.

  1. Certificate of Entry (COE) registration
    - All applicants are required to register for COEs via coethailand.mfa.go.th. Please register for COEs at least 5 working days (weekends and public holidays are excluded) before departure date.
  2. ThailandPlus Application
    - Travellers who have received COEs are required to download, and register via, ThailandPlus Application. They are required to show a QR code generated from the registration via the Application to be scanned by Thai authority upon arrival in Thailand. To download, please visit https://thailandplus.in.th/en/

 

NB: All foreign nationals are required to present a medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected (done by RT-PCR technique and issued no more than 72 hours before travelling) upon arrival in Thailand.
