“AI: Key to Successful Digital Transformation in Thailand and Romania”

               เมื่อวันที่ 31 มีนาคม 2565 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ ร่วมกับ สถาบันเพื่อการวิจัยและพัฒนาด้านสารสนเทศแห่งชาติโรมาเนีย (National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest) จัดการสัมมนาออนไลน์ (webinar) “AI: Key to Successful Digital Transformation in Thailand and Romania” เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์และองค์ความรู้ระหว่างนักวิชาการและหน่วยงานผู้ปฏิบัติในสาขาปัญญาประดิษฐ์ของไทยและโรมาเนีย

               ในการสัมมนาดังกล่าว ผู้แทนฝ่ายไทยได้นำเสนอภาพรวมของแผนพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคม การใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในการพัฒนาไปสู่รัฐบาลดิจิทัล และแพลตฟอร์ม AI for Thai ซึ่งมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมและบริการของไทยผ่านการใช้เทคโนโลยี AI ในขณะที่ฝ่ายโรมาเนียได้นำเสนอภาพรวมของแผนพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์แห่งชาติ และโครงการวิจัยต่าง ๆ ในระดับประเทศ รวมทั้งโครงการ EuroCC ซึ่งเป็นโครงการความร่วมมือกับประเทศในสหภาพยุโรปในการพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านเทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์และการประมวลผลสมรรถนะสูง (High Performance Computing – HPC) ซึ่งได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากโครงการ Horizon 2020 เป็นต้น ทั้งนี้ ฝ่ายไทยและโรมาเนียได้เห็นพ้องในหลักการที่จะจัดตั้งคณะทำงานร่วมกันในสาขาปัญญาประดิษฐ์ และแสดงความสนใจที่จะมีความร่วมมือเพิ่มเติมในสาขาความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ เมืองอัจฉริยะ และการใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในการแก้ไขปัญหาด้านการพัฒนาในมิติต่าง ๆ ภายใต้ข้อริเริ่ม Green Team Europe Initiative for ASEAN ต่อไป

Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest and ICI Bucharest co-organised the webinar “AI: Key to Successful Digital Transformation in Thailand and Romania”

                On 31 March 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest, in collaboration with the National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), organised the webinar “AI: Key to Successful Digital Transformation in Thailand and Romania” to initiate cooperation between Thailand and Romania and promote experience and knowledge sharing among Thai and Romanian relevant agencies and researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

                During the webinar, the Thai side presented the overview of Thailand’s strategy for digital transformation, the use of AI in developing digital government architecture, and the platform “AI for Thai” which aims to strengthen competitiveness of Thai industry and service sectors by using AI technology, while the Romanian side presented the National Strategy for AI in Romania, research projects on AI at a national level, as well as the EuroCC Project which is a joint collaboration between Romania and EU member countries to develop AI and High Performance Computing (HPC) capacity under the Horizon 2020 Programme. Both sides have agreed in principle to establish a joint working group in AI and expressed interest to have further discussion in other areas such as cyber security, smart city, and the use of digital technologies to help achieve development objectives under the Green Team Europe Initiative for ASEAN.
