Royal Thai Embassy, Bucharest organised the 56th Anniversary of ASEAN Day
On 8 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, as Chair of the ASEAN in Bucharest Committee, organised a ceremony to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Miss Dao Vibulpanich, Ambassador of Thailand to Romania and joined by Ambassadors and diplomats from ASEAN Embassies in Romania, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, and Viet Nam as well as diplomats and officers from the Royal Thai Embassy. H.E. Mr. Traian Hristea, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, also attended the ceremony as guest of honour.
In the opening speech, the Thai Ambassador emphasised on ASEAN's role as a core institution of Southeast Asia for regional stability and cooperation between ASEAN and Romania under the ASEAN-EU that covers various areas such as digitalisation, sustainable development, counter-terrorism, and cybersecurity. The Ambassador also thanked the Romanian side for its continued support on the resumption of the ASEAN-EU FTA negotiations which will further benefit both regions. The State Secretary commended the potentials of ASEAN and expressed interests in strengthening relations with ASEAN on national and bloc-to-bloc levels and the readiness to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ จัดกิจกรรมครบรอบ 56 ปี การก่อตั้งอาเซียน
เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2566 สอท. ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียนกรุงบูคาเรสต์ (ASEAN in Bucharest Committee) จัดกิจกรรมครบรอบ 56 ปี การก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ หรือ อาเซียน ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ โดยมีนางสาวดาว วิบูลย์พานิช เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ เป็นประธาน และมีเอกอัครราชทูตและนักการทูตสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอาเซียนในโรมาเนีย ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย เวียดนาม รวมทั้งข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ เข้าร่วมด้วย ทั้งนี้ นาย Traian Hristea รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย ได้ให้เกียรติเป็นแขกเกียรติยศภายในงาน
เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทสำคัญของอาเซียนในการสร้างความมั่นคงให้แก่ภูมิภาค และความร่วมมือระหว่างอาเซียนและโรมาเนียภายใต้กรอบอาเซียน-สหภาพยุโรป ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีการพัฒนาความร่วมมือที่ครอบคลุมรอบด้าน อาทิ ด้านดิจิทัล การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน การต่อต้านการก่อการร้าย ความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ และขอบคุณที่โรมาเนียให้การสนับสนุนการรื้อฟื้นการเจรจาความตกลง ASEAN-EU FTA ซึ่งจะก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์แก่ทั้งสองภูมิภาค ในขณะที่รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้เห็นพ้องถึงศักยภาพของอาเซียนและย้ำว่า โรมาเนียมีความสนใจที่จะร่วมมือกับอาเซียนทั้งในระดับประเทศและภายใต้กรอบอาเซียน-สหภาพยุโรป และแสดงความพร้อมในการเจรจาการเข้าเป็นอัครภาคีสนธิสัญญามิตรภาพและความร่วมมือในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia - TAC)
