On 8 August 2025, Ambassador Dao Vibulpanich and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Bucharest joined a flag-raising ceremony at the Embassy of Indonesia in Romania to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The event brought together ambassadors and diplomats from ASEAN embassies in Romania — Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam — alongside officials from Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and media. H.E. Mr. Calin Mitri, Director General for Global Affairs, attended as guest of honour.

In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Noel Servigon, Ambassador of the Philippines to Romania and Chair of the ASEAN in Bucharest Committee, welcomed Romania’s planned accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) and highlighted its important role in the region. The Director General reaffirmed ASEAN’s role as a key EU partner in advancing multilateral cooperation and regional stability, and expressed Romania’s readiness to strengthen ties under the TAC.

The celebration concluded with a reception showcasing ASEAN cuisine and an exhibition promoting tourism and culture from member states.

คณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ จัดงานเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 58 ปี การก่อตั้งอาเซียน

เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2568 นางสาวดาว วิบูลย์พานิช เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทย เข้าร่วมพิธีเชิญธงอาเซียน ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำโรมาเนีย เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 58 ปี การก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (ASEAN)

งานดังกล่าวมีเอกอัครราชทูตและนักการทูตจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนในโรมาเนีย ได้แก่ ไทย ฟิลิปปินส์ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย และเวียดนาม เข้าร่วม พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย คณะทูตานุทูต ตัวแทนองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ และสื่อมวลชน โดยมีนาย Calin Mitri อธิบดีกรมกิจการระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย ให้เกียรติเป็นแขกกิตติมศักดิ์

ในการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ นาย Noel Servigon เอกอัครราชทูตฟิลิปปินส์ประจำโรมาเนีย และประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับโรมาเนียซึ่งกำลังจะเข้าร่วมเป็นภาคีในสนธิสัญญามิตรภาพและความร่วมมือในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia: TAC) และย้ำถึงบทบาทสำคัญของโรมาเนียในภูมิภาค ขณะที่อธิบดีกรมกิจการระหว่างประเทศได้ยืนยันถึงบทบาทของอาเซียนในฐานะหุ้นส่วนสำคัญของสหภาพยุโรปในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือพหุภาคีและความมั่นคงในภูมิภาค รวมทั้งแสดงความพร้อมของโรมาเนียที่จะกระชับความสัมพันธ์กับอาเซียนภายใต้ TAC
