The reception was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Călin Mitri, Director General of Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, who served as the Guest of Honour. Other distinguished attendees included Ambassadors and members of the Diplomatic Corps in Romania, Mr. Thum Niemskul, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Budapest, representatives from Romania’s public and private sectors, and members of the Thai business community in Romania.
The ceremony commenced with the royal tribute video entitled “Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother: A Legacy that Touched the World.” Guests were then invited to observe a moment of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
In her remarks, Ms. Supattra Auearee, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, paid tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, honoring His Majesty as the soul of the Thai nation. She emphasized that His Majesty’s enduring legacy and wisdom are graciously upheld by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, who has steadfastly devoted himself to the well-being of the Thai people through numerous initiatives. With regard to Thailand–Romania relations, the Embassy underscored its strong commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation, amid growing momentum and substantial opportunities for expanded collaboration.
In his address, H.E. Mr. Călin Mitri reaffirmed the positive progress of bilateral relations between Thailand and Romania and outlined future directions for cooperation, including the mutual aspiration to establish direct flights between Bangkok and Bucharest.
The event featured an exhibition of "Chud Thai: The Eight Styles of Thai National Dress" from the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, accompanied by the playing of royal compositions. Guests also enjoyed an array of authentic Thai cuisine, including signature dishes such as Tom Yum Kung (Unesco’s Intangible Cultural Heritage), Pad Thai, Green Curry, Thai Stir-Fried Spicy Basil, and Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Ice Cream. These culinary delights were prepared by Isan Thai Restaurant in Bucharest, with serving services supported by Tom Yum Restaurant, reflecting strong cooperation among Thai restaurants in Romania.
In addition, the Office of Commercial Affairs in Budapest presented exhibitions of Thai agricultural and food products. Guests also received giveaways featuring selected Thai products, including dried fruit from Doi Kham—an initiative under the Royal Project Foundation—orange-dipped dark chocolate from Tan Tan Food, and the Pe-Pex herbal inhaler from Gold Mint Products Co., Ltd.

สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ ได้จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันพระบรมราชสมภพพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร วันชาติไทย และวันพ่อแห่งชาติ ประจำปี 2568 ณ ที่ทำการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2568
สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้รับเกียรติจากนาย Călin Mitri อธิบดีกรม Global Affairs กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย ในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศ โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูตและสมาชิกคณะทูตานุทูตประจำโรมาเนีย นายธรรม เนียมสกุล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ ผู้แทนจากภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนของโรมาเนีย ตลอดจนสมาชิกกลุ่มธุรกิจไทยในโรมาเนีย กว่า 70 รายเข้าร่วม
พิธีการเริ่มต้นด้วยการฉายวิดีทัศน์เทิดพระเกียรติ “Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother: A Legacy that Touched the World” จากนั้นผู้เข้าร่วมงานได้ยืนสงบนิ่งเพื่อแสดงความอาลัยต่อการสวรรคตของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง
ในการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ น.ส. สุพัตรา เอื้ออารีย์ อุปทูตฯ ได้ถวายราชสดุดีพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร ในฐานะศูนย์รวมจิตใจของปวงชนชาวไทย โดยพระราชปณิธาน พระอัจฉริยภาพ และพระราชกรณียกิจอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์ ได้รับการสืบสานและธำรงไว้โดยพระบาทสมเด็จพระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ผู้ทรงอุทิศพระองค์เพื่อความผาสุกของพสกนิกรชาวไทยผ่านโครงการและพระราชดำริจำนวนมาก และในส่วนของความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคี สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ มีความมุ่งมั่นในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับโรมาเนียให้ก้าวหน้ายิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะปัจจุบันความสัมพันธ์มีแนวโน้มเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่องและมีโอกาสในการขยายความร่วมมือในสาขาต่างๆ จำนวนมาก
ในโอกาสเดียวกันอธิบดี Mitri แขกเกียรติยศ ได้ย้ำถึงพัฒนาการเชิงบวกของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยและโรมาเนีย พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอแนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคต ซึ่งรวมถึงเป้าหมายร่วมกันในการส่งเสริมการเปิดเส้นทางบินตรงระหว่างกรุงเทพฯ – บูคาเรสต์
ภายในงานมีการจัดแสดงนิทรรศการ “ชุดไทย: ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม 8 แบบ” จากพิพิธภัณฑ์ผ้าในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ควบคู่กับการบรรเลงบทเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ นอกจากนี้แขกผู้มีเกียรติยังได้ลิ้มรสอาหารไทยต้นตำรับ อาทิ ต้มยำกุ้ง ผัดไทย แกงเขียวหวาน ผัดกะเพรา และข้าวเหนียวมะม่วงพร้อมไอศกรีมกะทิ โดยอาหารทั้งหมดปรุงโดยร้าน Isan Thai Restaurant ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ และได้รับการสนับสนุนด้านการบริการจากร้าน Tom Yum Restaurant สะท้อนถึงความร่วมมืออันเข้มแข็งของร้านอาหารไทยในโรมาเนีย
นอกจากนี้ สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ ยังได้จัดแสดงนิทรรศการสินค้าเกษตรและผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารแปรรูปจากประเทศไทย และมีการมอบของที่ระลึกแก่ผู้ร่วมงาน อาทิ ผลไม้อบแห้งจากดอยคำ ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ภายใต้โครงการหลวง ส้มอบแห้งเคลือบช็อกโกแลตจาก บ. Tan Tan Food และ ยาดมสมุนไพรพี-เป๊กซ์ จาก บ. Gold Mint Products จำกัด
