ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เยี่ยมชมและรับฟังการบรรยายกิจกรรมของศูนย์ฯ จากนาง Elena Zelco ประธาน และนาย Alexandru Zelco ผู้จัดการบริหาร ทั้งนี้ คณะจิตอาสาจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้มอบของใช้ที่จำเป็นและของเล่นเสริมพัฒนาการแก่สมาคมฯ เพื่อสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานในการช่วยเหลือและส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของเด็ก เยาวชน และผู้ใหญ่ที่มีภาวะดาวน์ซินโดรม ตลอดจนส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมและการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับผู้อื่นในสังคม ผ่านกิจกรรมและโครงการต่าง ๆ อาทิ กิจกรรมสันทนาการ การเล่นกีฬา และการสร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับภาวะดาวน์ซินโดรมแก่สาธารณชน

On 28 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Romania, together with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Bucharest and Ms. Chonlada Sitthiwan, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Prague Office, as part of Team Thailand in Romania, conducted a volunteer activity at the DOWN Association Bucharest on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Thailand’s Mother’s Day, 12 August 2026.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador received a briefing on the Centre’s activities by Ms. Elena Zelco, President, and Mr. Alexandru Zelco, Executive Manager. The Royal Thai Embassy’s volunteer team donated essential supplies and developmental toys to the DOWN Association Bucharest to support its efforts to assist children, young people, and adults with Down syndrome and enhance their quality of life. The Association also promotes their participation and inclusion in society through various activities and programmes, including recreational activities, sports, and public awareness initiatives on Down syndrome.
