ในโอกาสดังกล่าว เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แสดงความขอบคุณรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนียที่ให้เข้าพบเพื่อยื่นสำเนาพระราชสาส์นตราตั้ง พร้อมแสดงความพร้อมที่จะส่งเสริมและผลักดันความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับโรมาเนียในทุกมิติ โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้า การลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว และการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านเทคโนโลยีและการศึกษา

 

นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ขอรับการสนับสนุนจากโรมาเนียในการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรป ที่ปัจจุบันมีความคืบหน้าอย่างมาก ซึ่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ยินดีต่อความคืบหน้าดังกล่าว และยินดีที่มูลค่าการค้าระหว่างไทยกับโรมาเนียดำเนินไปในทิศทางที่ดี พร้อมเห็นว่า หากสามารถเปิดเส้นทางบินตรงระหว่างไทยกับโรมาเนียก็จะมีส่วนสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการค้าและการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างสองประเทศอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ

On 26 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Romania, presented copies of the Letters of Credence to H.E. Ms. Oana-Silvia Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania for receiving him to present copies of the Letters of Credence. He also expressed his readiness to further advance bilateral relations between Thailand and Romania across all dimensions, particularly in trade, investment, and knowledge exchange in technology and education.

 

In addition, the Ambassador sought Romania’s support for the negotiations on the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement, which have currently made significant progress. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the progress and expressed satisfaction that trade value between Thailand and Romania was moving in a positive direction. She also highlighted that establishing a direct flight between Thailand and Romania would make a significant contribution to promoting trade and tourism between the two countries.
