On 9 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Romania, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Radko Vlaykov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, on the occasion of H.E. Mr. Mongkolnavin’s assumption of duty.

 

During the meeting, the Bulgarian side shared valuable views and insights on political and economic developments in Romania and Bulgaria. Both sides discussed ways to further promote cooperation and advance bilateral relations in various areas, particularly trade and tourism between Thailand and Bulgaria.

 

The upcoming launch of seasonal direct flights from Sofia by GullivAir, starting in November 2026, with two flights per week to Bangkok and one flight per week to Phuket, was also highlighted. The new air links are expected to further facilitate people-to-people exchanges, tourism, and business cooperation, complemented by Thailand’s visa exemption scheme for passport holders of European Union member states, including Bulgaria, allowing stays in Thailand of up to 30 days.

 

The meeting also covered multilateral issues and provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange experiences regarding their respective accession processes to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

เมื่อวันที่ 9 กันยายน 2569 นายพืชภพ มงคลนาวิน เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ นาย Radko Vlaykov เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐบัลแกเรียประจำโรมาเนีย เนื่องในโอกาสที่เอกอัครราชทูตพืชภพฯ เข้ารับหน้าที่

 

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว ฝ่ายบัลแกเรียได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองและข้อมูลเชิงลึกที่เป็นประโยชน์เกี่ยวกับพัฒนาการด้านการเมืองและเศรษฐกิจในโรมาเนียและบัลแกเรีย ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือและพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีในด้านต่าง ๆ โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าและการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างไทยกับบัลแกเรีย โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการเปิดให้บริการเที่ยวบินตรงตามฤดูกาลของสายการบิน GullivAir ซึ่งมีกำหนดเริ่มให้บริการในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2569 สำหรับเที่ยวบินตรงจากกรุงโซเฟียไปยังกรุงเทพฯ สัปดาห์ละ 2 เที่ยวบิน และไปยังภูเก็ตสัปดาห์ละ 1 เที่ยวบิน คาดว่าจะช่วยส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างประชาชน การท่องเที่ยว และความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจให้เพิ่มมากขึ้น ทั้งนี้ มาตรการยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราของไทยจะมีส่วนสนับสนุนให้เกิดการเดินทางระหว่างกัน โดยผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางของประเทศสมาชิกสหภาพยุโรป รวมถึงบัลแกเรีย สามารถพำนักในประเทศไทยได้ไม่เกิน 30 วัน

 

นอกจากนี้ การหารือยังครอบคลุมถึงประเด็นพหุภาคี และเป็นโอกาสให้ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์เกี่ยวกับกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือและการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ (OECD) ระหว่างกัน
