On 7 August 2026, Ms. Panalee Choosri, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Bucharest participated in a flag-raising ceremony at the Embassy of Indonesia in Bucharest to commemorate the 59th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC). The event was organised by the Embassy of the Philippines in Bucharest, in its capacity as Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Bucharest, and was attended by representatives of ASEAN Embassies and other diplomatic missions, the Romanian Government, the media, and the private sector.

 

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Noel Servigon, Ambassador of the Philippines to Romania and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Bucharest, delivered remarks welcoming Romania’s recent signing of the Instrument of Accession to the TAC by H.E. Mr. Mihai Dimian, Minister of Education of Romania, in Manila on 24 July 2026. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Ileana Dinculescu, Acting Director General for Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, highlighted Romania’s growing engagement with ASEAN following its signing of the Instrument of Accession to the TAC. She also expressed Romania’s aspiration to become an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner in education, which would provide further opportunities to strengthen cooperation between ASEAN and Romania.

 

The ceremony was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony led by the ASEAN Heads of Mission and Ms. Dinculescu, as well as a reception featuring ASEAN cuisine from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. Each ASEAN Embassy also presented a country exhibition showcasing tourism materials, cultural items, handicrafts, and products. The Royal Thai Embassy participated in the exhibition by showcasing materials on Thailand’s tourism, culture, and products, contributing to the promotion of Thailand and the rich cultural diversity of ASEAN.

เมื่อวันที่ 7 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวพนาลี ชูศรี อุปทูตฯ พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ เข้าร่วมพิธีเชิญธงอาเซียน ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำโรมาเนีย เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 59 ปี การก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (ASEAN) และครบรอบ 50 ปี สนธิสัญญามิตรภาพและความร่วมมือในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia: TAC) โดยมีสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฟิลิปปินส์ประจำโรมาเนีย ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน และมีเอกอัครราชทูตและนักการทูตจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนในโรมาเนีย ได้แก่ ไทย ฟิลิปปินส์ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย และเวียดนาม เข้าร่วม พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย คณะทูตานุทูต สื่อมวลชน และภาคเอกชน โดยมีนางสาว Ileana Dinculescu รักษาการอธิบดีกรมกิจการโลก กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย ให้เกียรติเป็นแขกกิตติมศักดิ์

 

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว นาย Noel Servigon เอกอัครราชทูตฟิลิปปินส์ประจำโรมาเนีย และประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ กล่าวแสดงความยินดีต่อการที่โรมาเนียได้ลงนามในตราสารภาคยานุวัติสนธิสัญญามิตรภาพและความร่วมมือในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยนาย Mihai Dimian รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการโรมาเนีย เมื่อวันที่ 24 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ กรุงมะนิลา ขณะที่นางสาว Ileana Dinculescu กล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้นระหว่างโรมาเนียกับอาเซียนภายหลังโรมาเนียลงนามในตราสารภาคยานุวัติ TAC พร้อมทั้งแสดงความมุ่งหวังให้โรมาเนียได้รับสถานะหุ้นส่วนเพื่อการเจรจาเฉพาะด้านของอาเซียน (Sectoral Dialogue Partner) ในด้านการศึกษา ซึ่งจะเป็นโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างอาเซียนกับโรมาเนียให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

 

พิธีเฉลิมฉลองปิดท้ายด้วยพิธีตัดเค้กและงานเลี้ยงรับรอง ซึ่งมีการจัดแสดงและให้บริการอาหารจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ ไทย และเวียดนาม ตลอดจนการจัดนิทรรศการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปวัฒนธรรม หัตถกรรม และผลิตภัณฑ์ของประเทศสมาชิก โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปวัฒนธรรม และผลิตภัณฑ์ของไทยมาจัดแสดง เพื่อเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์ประเทศไทยและส่งเสริมความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมของอาเซียน
