-  The Royal Thai Embassy is authorized to legalize only documents bearing the Seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

-  Documents issued by competent Romanian/Bulgarian authorities must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania/Bulgaria, prior to submitting for legalization at the Royal Thai Embassy.

- Documents issued by competent Thai authorities must be legalized by the Legalization Division, Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand before submitting to the Embassy for legalization.

- The legalization fee is 15 Euro per document. The process takes three working days unless otherwise stated.

Effective on 15 July 2024, nationals of Romania and Bulgaria, along with nationals from 93 countries and territories, are entitled to visa exemption for tourism, business engagements, urgent work, or ad-hoc work. This exemption allows a stay of up to 60 days, which can be extended for an additional period not exceeding 30 days.
