On 26 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Romania, accompanied by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Bucharest, visited Constanta to meet with members of the Thai community residing in the city and surrounding areas.

 

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Embassy to listen to the views and experiences of the Thai community concerning their lives, studies, and work in Romania. The Embassy also provided information and addressed inquiries regarding consular services, while reaffirming its close ties with and continued support for the Thai community in Romania.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador also visited “Asia Grocery,” a Thai-owned store specialising in Thai food products and seasonings. The store imports a wide range of Thai products and is the first Thai-owned store of its kind in Romania.

 

Constanta is one of Romania’s most economically, strategically, and historically significant cities. Situated on the Black Sea coast, it is the country’s principal port city and home to the largest port in the region, serving as a major hub for trade, maritime transportation, and freight connections between Europe and other regions. The city is also a renowned coastal tourist destination, with a rich and longstanding history dating back to ancient Greek and Roman times.

เมื่อวันที่ 26 กันยายน 2569 นายพืชภพ มงคลนาวิน เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ พร้อมข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ลงพื้นที่พบปะชุมชนไทยที่พำนักอยู่ในเมือง Constanta และบริเวณใกล้เคียง เพื่อรับฟังความคิดเห็นและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์เกี่ยวกับการใช้ชีวิต การศึกษา และการทำงานในโรมาเนีย รวมทั้งให้ข้อมูลและตอบข้อซักถามเกี่ยวกับการให้บริการด้านกงสุล ตลอดจนกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันใกล้ชิดระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ กับชุมชนไทยในโรมาเนีย

 

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เยี่ยมชม Asia Grocery ร้านจำหน่ายสินค้าอาหารและเครื่องปรุงของไทย ซึ่งนำเข้าสินค้าไทยหลากหลายประเภท โดยเป็นร้านจำหน่ายสินค้าอาหารและเครื่องปรุงไทยแห่งแรกในโรมาเนียที่มีเจ้าของเป็นคนไทย

 

เมือง Constanta เป็นหนึ่งในเมืองที่มีความสำคัญทางเศรษฐกิจ ยุทธศาสตร์ และประวัติศาสตร์มากที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของโรมาเนีย เป็นเมืองท่าหลักบนชายฝั่งทะเลดำที่มีท่าเรือขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในภูมิภาค ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางการค้า การขนส่งทางเรือ และการเชื่อมโยงเส้นทางขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างยุโรปกับภูมิภาคอื่นๆ นอกจากนี้ ยังเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวชายทะเลที่มีชื่อเสียง มีประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานตั้งแต่ยุคกรีกและโรมันโบราณ
